Constipation Treatments - Remedy for Painful Constipation

A reader wrote in recently with horrible constipation.

She said she had tried laxatives. She tried eating more fruits and vegetables. And those remedies did not work for her. She was still in terrible pain and had not had a bowel movement for many days.

I don’t recommend laxatives. Most of them are laced with chemicals that hurt your body. If people abuse laxatives they will get to the point where they can’t have a bowel movement unless they take laxatives. That means your digestive system and colon have shut down - which is dangerous.
